The Engineered Quartz Production Process at New Stone

A standard engineered quartz production process typically consists of the following 6 main steps:

Step 1: Raw Material Inspection

The main raw materials for producing engineered quartz include natural quartz powder or particles (accounting for about 90–95%), binding agents, and coloring additives.

Before being put into production, these materials are inspected for quality, purity, and particle size to ensure they meet technical standards. They are then accurately weighed according to a researched formula to guarantee the durability, color, and stability of the final product.

Step 2: Material Mixing

After inspection and weighing, the raw materials are fed into a high-capacity mixing system.

Here, the additives are thoroughly mixed to form a homogeneous mixture. This process plays a crucial role in ensuring that the color, patterns, and structure of the stone slab are evenly distributed, creating a natural beauty for the product.

Step 3: Shaping with Vacuum Vibrocompression Technology

The mixed material is then poured into a shaping mold and placed into the vibrocompression system, increasing the bond between the quartz particles. This allows the stone slab to achieve high density and a uniform structure.

Step 4: Curing

After shaping, the stone slab is moved into a curing oven at a high temperature.

This process creates a durable structure for the slab. Thanks to the curing step, engineered quartz can achieve high hardness, and good resistance to stains and scratches.

Step 5: Grinding and Polishing the Surface

After stabilizing for about 24 hours, the stone slabs are passed through an automated grinding and polishing line. This makes the stone surface flat, smooth, and achieves the required gloss level.

Step 6: Quality Control and Classification

In the final step, the stone slab is comprehensively inspected for dimensions, color, hardness, flatness, and surface defects.

After meeting quality standards, the product is classified, labeled, and packaged before being released to the market. The strict inspection process ensures that each engineered quartz slab achieves stable quality and meets interior use standards.
